Gemini Tec have been involved in building and fabricating printed circuit boards since 1978. We are highly experienced in every aspect of blank PCB manufacturing and engineering, having owned and managed our own UK manufacturing facility for over 25 years.
The quality of the raw PCB is critical. We adhere to stringent controls to check all PCB inventory, such 2D mechanical inspection, FAI, micro-section, destructive testing and solder flow testing prior to assembly. Our knowledge and in-house technical expertise will ensure this key component is manufactured to the correct specification for rapid delivery NPI to mass production.
We have in-house engineers using Barco U-Cam tooling software to generate and check the PCB tooling. By completing this process in-house, we can ensure your PCB data passes numerous checks (DRC, DFM and netlist check) including verification of the impedance layer stack up and raw material selection. Any suspect or technical issues can be addressed and removed prior to fabrication and before any components are placed.
We are fully conversant with a full range of PCB technologies from standard rigid multilayer boards to flex and flex-rigid boards. Manufacturing standard and high technology products, with laser drilling and flat/filled via technology.
Our core competencies in PCB manufacturing technology are:
- IPC Class 2 or 3 & AS9100.
- Rapid delivery.
- Small, medium and large volume from Asia Pacific.
- Multilayer technology 4-40 layers, controlled impedance, mechanical/laser drilling, LDI printing.
- Fine trace and space: 2.5/2.5 Mil, with hole aspect ratios up to 20:1
- PCB laminates, High Tg FR4, HR370, IS410, P95, Rogers, Taconic, Arlon.
In addition to data engineering we off a full reverse engineering and artwork scanning service direct from our facility to support legacy products and corrupt data.
